“Great hotel in Anaheim! I do a lot of traveling and I can honestly tell you that this is by far the best family hotel that we have ever stayed at. The staff is friendly, the rooms are unbelievable, the grounds are beautiful, and we loved the pool and basketball courts. If traveling with kids, do not think of going anywhere else.”

“I love the Residence Inn Anaheim on Clementine. We usually stay here when we visit Disneyland. The first big plus is early check-in. They let us check-in at 7:00 a.m. We had a studio room which was very clean. They also have a daily breakfast buffet and a light dinner buffet Mon-Thur. The grounds and pool area (open 24 hours are very clean, and the Jacuzzi is hot and bubbly. My kids and I had a blast swimming at 2:00 am. The soda machine is kept on night and day so we never had to buy soda. In the morning we would fill up our empty water bottles with soda before hitting the parks. At night, after the parks we'd stop by the lobby and have a soda and free freshly popped popcorn (tastes like Disneyland's -YUM!) The shuttle van was never a problem. It ran continuously. We've stayed at 15 different hotel/motels in the area and this one is our favorite.”

“Our family spent 7 days at the Residence Inn Anaheim. The hotel is very well kept and the service was superb! The morning breakfasts were very good (waffles, eggs sausage, toast, juice) and Monday through Thursday there was dinner meals – soup and sandwiches one day, tacos another - which really helped our budget, plus free soft drinks during the day. The swimming pool was clean and refreshing. The suites had plenty of towels, a nice kitchen and free grocery service (they pick up your grocery order and leave in your room). W e really loved the shuttle service to Disneyland with very helpful drivers. We had a fantastic stay and would stay here again without question!”

“A fantastic hotel experience. My sister, 6-year old daughter and I stayed at the Residence Inn on Clementine for the week of May 15 - 22, 2004 and what an incredible experience we had. We stayed in a two-bedroom suite with our own private hot tub (great after a long day at the park). The room was fantastic - lots of space, a full kitchen, and two full bathrooms. The rooms, grounds and gatehouse were immaculately kept, and I just can't say enough about the incredible staff. They all went out of their way to ensure that our stay was a memorable one. We took full advantage of the complimentary buffet breakfast and week-day suppers, not to mention the free pop available all day. A family-oriented must-stay hotel!”
All of your staff is awesome and so helpful. Lucy in the restaurant was always so efficient and kind. It was also a pleasure to meet her son and have him play basketball with my sons. It was so nice to see that you support your staff in such kind ways. Zeth at the front desk did a wonderful job helping us with directions and always had a smile. Your housekeeping staff was always friendly and did an excellent job!
My 5 year old son said he liked the "hotel" the best, even better than "Disneyland"! That about wraps it up. We had an excellent stay at your property. We hope to return in the not too far future and will tell all our friends the best place to stay when in Anaheim is your hotel.
Blessings."

First, let me give you a brief background: I took my family to Disneyland last March for 4 days. We stayed at the Embassy Suites and, while it wasn't a bad stay, we knew that there was likely better out there. Based on reviews of your hotel on Trip Advisor, I booked 5 nights, and hoped for the best.
Well, your service beat my best expectations.
We checked in at 10am on March 5th, and I completely expected to wait until later that night for a room, but alas, the woman at the counter informed me that she WOULD find a room. She even remarked that I had reserved a crib. "Impressive," I thought. Embassy Suites forgot that when I checked in last year...
Well, we checked into our room, and my wife immediately remarked, "This is sooo much nicer than last time!" The kids agreed, and my four year old daughter even did a dance when she saw the Mickey and Minnie painting over the fireplace. But that's when I remembered ---- I forgot to bring an electric fan to deaden the noise of neighbors! My wife told me to call the front desk to see if they had one. They didn't. "Oh well," I though. I'll just go to Target later and buy one.."
With that, our family set off for -- and spent the remainder of the day at -- Disneyland...where I (somehow) proceeded to lose all of our tickets for the remainder of the trip and the tickets I had purchased for my parents, as well.
In all, $659 of tickets...gone. Needless to say, I was very depressed..
We shuffled back to the hotel, me knowing that we had 3 days left and no tickets, but I certainly couldn't tell the kids. Well, we opened the door to the room and there in the middle of the room, was the fan I had called about earlier.
Now, granted, seeing a fan didn't make up for the idea that I had to spend another $600 for tickets, BUT the idea that your staff cared enough to keep searching past our 39 second phone call earlier really helped turn my sanguine attitude around.
I was pretty impressed...but the thought of the lost tickets still crept back into my head, and the wife and I decided that we needed a beer. I took solace in the thought that I only need to go to one store now, "since we already have a fan". But before I drove off in search of a 7-11, I decided to check the market in your lobby to see if they sold beer..
Sure enough, they did. So I grabbed a 6-pack and set it on the counter.. As the smiling woman began to ring me up, I recounted my grief over losing our Disney tickets. I wasn't really looking for sympathy, I guess....I just wanted to vent to someone who wasn't my family -- and not see sadness or get yelled at :-).
She smiled and looked at me for a moment, and then said: "You sound pretty depressed."
"I guess I am," I admitted.
Then she did something that she didn't need to, wasn't required, and was purely spontaneous.
"The beer is on the house."
I was incredulous. And to be honest, I wasn't quite sure that I'd heard her right. "That's not what business' do," I thought, and I looked at her quizzically.
"I hope your trip gets better from here," she said with a smile.
"Wow," I realized. "She really means it."
And that was the moment that I was blown away. I mean, here I was, determined that my trip was ruined, and yet the hotel staff was taking steps to help make me feel AT HOME. I wasn't excited that someone bought me a $6 package of beer, I was excited that someone just simply cared enough to express some sort of sympathy. It seems small, but at that moment, it made all the difference in the world to me. It's really something that's seemingly so small that really meant so much.
Well, we ended up having a great time, and through it all, I keep remembering how such (almost) trivial tasks by your staff meant mountains to me and my family.
We've just started making Disneyland an annual tradition for our family, but I can assure you, we've already found the place that we -- and our friends will stay for years to come.
Thanks again from the bottom of my hear and please let your staff know how little acts of kindness can really change people's day...and trip!

One of the key reasons we have decided to stay on this site is the caliber of the front desk staff. The front desk staff we have come to know over time embody the Marriott's mission and vision. Under the capable leadership of the front desk manager, Mishelle Valadez, the staff has worked purposefully, sensitively, and efficiently to meet our professional needs. We have also witnessed them effectively and productively address the diverse requests of many other clients.
We specifically wish to acknowledge: Melissa Marshall, Roger Rodriguez, Shardae Allen, Grant Miller, and Cathy Gonzales. Over a three-year period we have witnessed them to listen to clearly understand requests made by individuals and groups and then to respond thoughtfully, demonstrating insight and excellent judgment. Clearly they are dedicated to establishing an environment or support for all to ensure guests receive service of the highest quality.
During stressful times such as the construction of and interviews for positions at the Anaheim Garden Walk, parking for Marriott guests was exceptionally difficult. Mishelle Valadez actively responded to the complaints of many guests to resolve the problem. She continually demonstrates, with integrity, as do other front desk personnel such as Melissa and Roger, accountability to and for guests at this inn. Mishelle Valadez, as a front desk manager, acts and is seen to act as one who manages with knowledge and who actively supports and develops the capacity of the front desk staff. We have, over the years, interacted with many guests who consistently identify that they have and will continue to return because the front desk staff we have mentioned.
As professionals who spend much time away from their own home and family we wish to acknowledge this facility and these specific employees who are dedicated to fostering a culture of service and support. We believe that the qualities and characteristics of these employees embrace the Marriott culture."

"I want to follow up and let you know that we had a great time in Anaheim and really enjoyed staying at your property. The room was very nice and large. The hot weather made the pool especially nice and the staff was just great. There was one lady in particular that was very kind and always had a nice smile on her face. I did not get her name but she worked in the breakfast area clearing tables and made the morning experience very positive each day.
Thanks again, we will be back next time we are in Anaheim."
